With the ongoing controversy about the COVID-19 pandemic throughout the world it's much understandable that both educators and learners find education a bit challenging because of the lack of physical interaction. But with the help of technological advancements the educational sector is now capable of catering the growing population. Thus, teachers, professors, educators alike are able of reach students from thousands of miles away. Last October 5, opening of classes was made possible through online means. With the help of technology and the guidance of professor, Ar. Eric P. Baño, BS ARCH 2-4 class were able to meet online and be oriented on how the semester’s going to work.

Facing such a predicament may be challenging. But because of having a competent professor supervising over students, it may not be so hard to cope-up with the situation. Ar. Baño showed the class how to properly use online applications as a medium for learning. The orientation has effectively disseminated information through online means, from orienting the students prior to the discussion board down to the grading system. He also emphasized the learning system that will be used for those who cannot join the online class. It was both invigorating and exciting to face new challenges with the help of a new professor. New challenges that everyone expect to help them develop their skills and their intellectual understanding about architecture.

I was personally enthusiastic about one task, the weekly sketch for the whole semester. I got thrilled because through this task I would be able to witness my own improvement. With the course subject being an essential part of my architectural journey, Building Utilities 1 that encompasses basic plumbing and sanitary principles will hopefully help me gain the information and knowledge that will eventually be beneficial in my architectural endeavor.

Conclusively, it was a successful orientation even though it was a bit challenging having to cope-up with the online class system in which it is difficult to have to keep up with the class because of having a bad internet connection at home but at the same time it was both rewarding and fulfilling to know that we have a professor that will provide us an invigorating class sessions.
